Tomato Matches

Tomatoes on the vine, struck to light.

A square box of safety matches with a hand-painted watercolor tomato vine on the lid.

Abigail Jayne paints the original in watercolor, then prints it on a 2-inch square box filled with 70 red-tipped matches and a black striker. Made in the EU, they sit as easily beside a candle as on the bar cart next to the good olive oil.

A small, useful thing that looks like summer.
